Human Rights Hero
In our Social Sciences we are learning about Human Rights Hero and i chose this hero.
Martin Luther King Jr.
American clergyman, activist and leader in the African-American civil rights movement, Martin Luther King Jr. is best known for his role in the advancement of civil rights using nonviolent civil disobedience. King led the first African-American nonviolent demonstration with the bus boycott, which began in 1955 and led to the end of segregation on buses. In the 11-year period between 1957 and 1968, King travelled more than 6 million miles and spoke more than 2,500 times, appearing wherever there was injustice, protest and action — all the while authoring five books and numerous essays. At the age of 35, King was the youngest man to have ever received the Nobel Peace Prize. He was assassinated four years later in 1968.

Pink Shirt Day
Last Friday. 17-05-2019. we celebrated Pink Shirt Day at school. everyone was allowed to ware pink shirt to raise awareness about bulling.the reason why people ware pink shirt is because we want to be united in what we are saying and that is that 'no more bullying message',whether it is verbal mental, physical no matter what sort of bullying occurs, we do not want it at our school, in our homes or in our lives we want everyone to be happy and safe and enjoy their lives.
